उन लफ़्जो के सैलाब से पूछो ज़नाब,
क्या उनका फ़साना मुक़म्मल हुआ। 
उनके दरमियाँ , सैकड़ों शब्द फींके पड़े,
क्या महशर  के वक्त, उस मुफ़लिस की क़बा का अफ़साना मुक़म्मल हुआ। 
ये तो वही बतायेंगे की उस परवरिश-ए-लौह-ओ-क़लम के मक़ाम क्या था, 
क्या उनके गुफ़्तगू का शब-ए-ग़म का पैमाना मुक़म्मल हुआ।
