Present Indefinite Tense
Rules –
Affirmative Sentence –
S + first form of verb + s/es + object + .
Ex – Jack writes novels.

Negative Sentence –
S + do/does + first form of verb  + object + .
Ex- Jack does not write novels.

Interrogative Sentence –
Do/Does + S + first form of verb +  object + ?
Ex- Does Jack write novels?

Interrogative Negative Sentence –
Do/Does + S + not + first form of verb +  object + ?
Ex- Does Jack not write novels?

Wh family –
Wh family + do/does + S + first form of verb +  object + ?
Ex- When does Jack write novels?

Wh family negative –
Wh family + do/does + S + not + first form of verb +  object + ?
Ex- When does jack not write novels?


Uses of Present Indefinite Tense –
1.    Habitual action or daily routine – we use present indefinite tense for describing our habitual action or daily routine.
Ex- I love book reading.
      You walk every day.

2.    General truth or permanent truth –
Ex- The sun rises in the east.
       Delhi stands on the bank of Yamuna.

3.    Present Movement –
Ex- I live at Kamla Nagar.
      He read in tenth class.

4.    Near Future - 
Ex- My birthday comes off next month.
      They leave at 9 a.m. tomorrow.

5.    In broadcasting the running commentaries –
Ex- Raina comes in and bowls to Watson. Watson lifts the ball. MS Dhoni takes a low catch. Watson goes back to the pavilion.
