THE IMPORTANCE OF SEX EDUCATION IN SCHOOL

THE IMPORTANCE OF SEX EDUCATION IN SCHOOL

Now a days, we read daily about sexual abuse in every newspaper. The image India, the country of goddess Durga, Kali, Saraswati and Laxmi has is changed into the image of "Rape public". No one can assume that our republic state will be a "rape public" one day. I just want to ask that why has India become a country of rape. There are many reasons for this situation but I am not going to explain each reasons. I want to explore the basic and most important reason.

The basic reason of sexual abuse is lack of sex education. In our schools, sex education or we can say, the term "sex" is not discussed among the students. Teachers hesitate over the topic of "Sex" in the school because of our moral knowledge. Our elders has pierced the thinking in our mind that we can't talk about sex in public place. The idea of sex does not develop with time and it produces vacuum in the mind. This vacuum should be filled by the education of sex.

Let's consider a situation-
(A boy child of 12 years and a girl child of 12 years were playing together. After one hour, they went for bath. Boy child saw vagina and asked to girl child about that. The girl child did the same.)
In this example, I tried to show the notion of curiosity among the girl child and boy child. The human mind is full of curiosity and it spreed itself when it try to know something. Therefore, the notion of sex education comes. If both children were aware about the sexual organs in the human body then they would not asked that question.

All over, it also depends on the mentality of a person.
Therefore,
We should do something for our nation. Our country "India" should not be describe as "rape public".
Sex education in schools - It should be mandatory.
